History of Reef Casino Trust
January 1992: Queensland Government called for submissions from interested parties for the right to build and operate a casino in Cairns.
July 1993: Founders (Casinos Austria International Limited, Country Comfort Trust No 1, Australian Olympic Committee, Touraust Corporation Pty Ltd) caused Trust to be formed.
December 1993: Prospectus dated 10 December 1993 offered 76.68 mil units at $1 per unit to the public.
February 1994: Reef Casino Trust listed on Australian Stock Exchange.
January 1996: Casino license granted. Reef Casino Hotel commenced trading on 31st January.
June 2000: Reef Corporate Services becomes the Responsible Entity for the Trust and becomes a Managed Investment Scheme under the MIA. Recapitalisation completed.
December 2001: Responsible Entity is jointly owned by Casinos Austria International Limited and Accor Casino Investments (Australia) Pty Ltd.
March 2004: Responsible Entity (Reef Corporate Services Limited) is granted a Financial Services License.
