Privacy Policy

Reef Corporate Services Limited (ABN 66 057 599 621) as responsible entity for Reef Casino Trust (RCT) understands that privacy is important to you.

RCT follows the requirements of the National Privacy Principles which are contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act) and which govern how private sector organisations handle personal information. Our Compliance Plan requires annual reporting to the Compliance Committee on compliance with the Privacy Act and National Privacy Principles.

Collection
Personal information means any information that can identify you. RCT may obtain personal information from individuals (eg unitholders). If you contact RCT, we may also keep a record of that correspondence.

Personal information is also collected by RCT through its external unitholder registry currently Computershare Investor Services Pty Limited. RCT requires Computershare to comply with the National Privacy Principles when performing these services. Personal information collected from unitholders includes: contact, bank account and unit holding details and tax file numbers.

Where reasonably possible, RCT will only collect personal information from the individuals themselves.

Use and disclosure
RCT’s policy is to use personal information only for the main business purposes for which it was collected.

The personal information collected from you may be used to provide you with our services or with other information you have requested. Our policy is designed to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information held by RCT and prevent its misuse.

RCT does not sell, rent or trade personal information to, or with, third parties. In some circumstances, however, personal information may be disclosed outside RCT. For example:

1. For legal reasons, disclosures may need to be made to law enforcement agencies, government agencies, courts or external advisers; or
   
2. Personal information may be disclosed to third parties to whom RCT contracts out specialised functions, such as unit registry, mailing houses and printing companies. If so, we take steps to ensure that those contractors comply with the Privacy Act, and are authorised only to use personal information in order to perform the functions required by RCT.

Information collected by the unit registry is used to carry out registry functions such as payment of dividends or distributions, sending annual and half yearly reports, notices of meetings or newsletters, and notifications to the ATO. In addition, contact information will be used from time to time to inform unitholders of information concerning RCT.

Data security
RCT takes reasonable steps to ensure the security of personal information held by it from such risks as loss or unauthorised access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure.

Access and correction
Under the Privacy Act, you have a right to seek access to information which we hold about you, although there are some exceptions to this. You also have the right to ask us to correct information about you which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

Sensitive information
RCT does not collect sensitive information from individuals.
