The Reef Hotel Casino Community Benefit Fund

The Reef Hotel Casino Community Benefit Fund  was established in January 1996 by the Queensland Government. 

Its purpose is to distribute grants to non-profit community organisations in Far North Queensland, which provide facilities or services to the community at large. 

The funding is received from a 1% levy on gross gaming revenue of The Reef Hotel Casino in Cairns.
