POLICY OVERVIEW

This Privacy Policy sets out Casinos Austria International (Cairns) Pty Ltd’s commitment to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP’s) in the Privacy Act 1988(Cth). Casinos Austria International (Cairns) Pty Ltd is jointly owned by Casinos Austria International Limited and Accor Casino Investments (Australia) Pty Ltd and trades under the names of The Reef Hotel Casino and Pullman Reef Hotel Casino.

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION

The information collected may include an individual’s name, signature, contact details, driver’s license, date of birth and images. The type of personal information we collect will depend on the nature of your dealings with us.

If you apply for a job with us sensitive information such as information about an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, criminal record or health information may be collected where we have your consent.

Where reasonably practical to do so we will collect personal information from you directly when you use our casino and hotel products and services or communicate with us. Depending on the product or service we provide to you, we may collect your personal information from third parties including booking agents who liaise with us and or make bookings on your behalf and electronic means (if applicable).

If you chose not to provide personal information we may not be able to provide certain services to you.

 

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

The general purposes for which we may collect, hold and use your personal information are:

We share personal information within the AccorHotels Group and their suppliers as described in Accor’s global hotel guest privacy policy.

In some instances we share information with third parties in order to help us operate our business or to provide a service to you. Such organisations include:

– debt collection agencies;
– referees;
– accountants, auditors and lawyers;
– insurance brokers;
– service providers such as IT, guest survey providers, mailing houses, printers and postal services; and
– other casinos.

We may also disclose your personal information to third parties where you request us or consent to us doing so.

Some of the third parties with whom we share personal information may be located outside Australia including in the European Union, the United States of America, New Zealand and Singapore. The location of our service providers may change from time to time.

 

MARKETING

We may use your personal information so that we can inform you of our upcoming promotions and or events by the way of direct mail, emails and SMS messages. This information will only be sent out to you if you have indicated your consent to receiving such information.

If you do not wish to receive this information you can contact us at any time to let us know you no longer wish to receive this information.

Our website uses ‘cookies’ to collect information. Cookies are small data files that are sent to and stored on your computer each time you request a page. They are used to track user’s traffic patterns. Cookies do not collect personal information.
